Perfect for a quick breakfast on the go or a satisfying mid-afternoon pick-me-up, these bars are easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Here’s a simple recipe to whip up a batch of delicious, homemade muesli bars.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup nuts and seeds (e.g., almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds), chopped
1/2 cup dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries, apricots), chopped
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
1 tablespoon activated phenolics powder
1 tablespoon Renovatio Gut and Digestion powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
**Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Prepare Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking dish or tray with baking paper, leaving a bit of overhang for easy removal.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts and seeds, dried fruit, and shredded coconut.
Heat Wet Ingredients: In a small saucepan, gently heat the honey (or maple syrup) and almond butter (or peanut butter) over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and combined.
Add Activated Phenolics Powder and Gut and Digestion powder: Remove from heat and stir in the activated phenolics powder and vanilla extract. Mix well to combine.
Combine Ingredients: Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir until everything is evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Chill: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until set and firm.
Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the muesli slab out of the pan using the baking paper overhang. Cut into bars or squares.
Tips:
Add-ins: Feel free to mix in other healthy add-ins like chia seeds, flaxseeds, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavour and nutrition.
Sweeteners: Adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to suit your taste and dietary preferences. For a less sweet version, you can reduce the amount of sweetener.
Storage: Store the muesli bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate them to keep them fresh for longer. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months; just thaw before serving.
These healthy muesli bars are not only a great way to incorporate activated phenolics powder into your diet but also a delicious and energising snack option. Enjoy the convenience of homemade bars while boosting your nutritional intake!
